Music Video Shoot Day 2 with 3 of Infinity

This was the 2nd day of the video shoot with 3 of infinity where we shot for their music video for their song called Keep Sin. This time it was a bit more easier then the last location where we didn’t have to carry the equipment up 4 floors. As a matter of fact it was even better shooting here, like they say everything happens for a reason. As soon as we got the place organized we immediately started with the video and continued from the very beginning.

The beauty about this place was that the owner allowed us to fully customize it, so when it was time for us to shoot on the stage it became a gem, because it was fully customized to what we visioned the stage to look like. Especially with the red lights in the dark that made the imagery even better!

Which I can wait for everyone to see how the video ends it will blow you away and possibly make you fall off your seat laughing. The parts that I love the most about these shoots is how the parents and their partners support their kids here. Theirs nothing better to help you feel more confident then your parents and partners support, at least that’s what I believe.

Today will be the first day where I start editing their first official music video to show them how amazing it looks so far. Then we shall shoot one last time this weekend to shoot little pieces for the video.

Make sure to watch their unofficial video which is a studio version below of the song where the song was created!

Photo shoot with Lucas Weltz at the Major Stokes

Lucas Weltz is a very welcoming and talented young guy who will get you on the floor rolling once you see him perform. Actually I remember him talking about this location from the last photo shoot we did here about him performing here. For people who don’t know the a Major Stokes it’s a cute little chill cafe where you can hear some great music and have a delicious meal too. I smelt someone’s meal and just had to have a bite of my own, sorry I got side tracked this is about Lucas not the food. This was actually my first time seeing him perform and I was amazed from his style of music.

Lucas Welts went from Ain’t No Sunshine by Bill Withers to Shallow by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper. I just about lost it when he sand those songs. Lucas Weltz as you can see in the photos he gives a in deep thought type of play. When I say that it’s like he becomes one with the music and it’s almost like he’s dreaming. I thought it was beautiful to see because it shows he loves what he does and through that love makes me want to hear more. Course he adds a bit of jokes to grab your attention because he’s also a comedian. I also love how he interacts with the audience one on one even when he’s performing because it shows he has interest to his listeners. I also appreciate him shouting me out for taking his photos he didn’t have to do that and that meant a lot to me! This was an awesome time taking photos of hi performing and can’t for the next time to shoot and listen to his soulful voice.

Photo shoot with Aubrey Burchell at the Friendship Perk and Brew

For starters find a parking space was like trying to find a needle in the hay stack. Pretty lame and funny way way to start a blog right, well hopefully it made you chuckle a bit. As I walked up I ran into Russel funny thing is he replied that their was a bunch of open parking, but then a he turned the spots were filled. Okay enough with the parking this time let’s get to the nitty gritty. As I walked in The Friendship Perk and Grill the place was packed I mean almost back to back. It was an open mic night hosted by Elias Khouri. Which I have to say I loved how he helped the kids out who didn’t have a guitar or know how to play. He would play for them and even sing with them if they felt scared. That’s not really common for an artist to do that and for someone so young to be that close to the audience its quite heart warming to see.

As I turned their the Burchell’s were in there little corner with he little space they could have., like I said it was back to back. The set list was by call and I just about lost it when one of the girls did some Bruno Mars songs. Then the time came where they wanted to save Aubrey for last. As you can see with this picture you may see a funny face, but one thing I noticed about her is that believe it or not she a bit shy God Bless her, but she easy to talk to as well not the point though. The reason for this funny face is what I love the most about her performance which is she likes to interact with the audience to make not only just her singing, but entertainment as well. She quite humorous when she’s on stage with her father who is Russel Burchell.

She sang two country songs and one cover song which is available to buy now actually which is called Little White Room which you all should download by the way available everywhere. Which I kind of had a bit of trouble not moving to her voice because the way she sang the songs almost made it sound like gospel. Even though country tones are’t that far away from gospel tones vocally since both tones share the twang type of vocal style.

After she was done the whole crowd just lost it, sadly she was sick that day, but as always she always finds a way to keep going which I admire about her effort. This young woman does what a lot of the youth forget about which is to build and never give up on a passion. Often times when your young you give up on things, but then theirs the special people who never give up on their passion. She s a very passionate about what she does as you can see her joy in the photos of her performing, and also very humble which makes me respect her.

After the performance we then drove down to Pro mantis and had a sit down to discuss big plans that me and Aubrey Burchell are teaming up on which I will not say just yet :).

As we sat down the family then open up to me about their past, how the mother and father got together, and then Aubrey telling me about her past. As I said before shes actually a very quiet person, till you get her to talk then she goes into deeper things. Which then as I was listening to her speak It made me understand her writing even more because of a lot that she’s been through, which she’s actually a great story writer may I add. She very giving and loves to give a lot even if she receives nothing in return which is the real her the Singer is just the title, but the real her is actually a very down to earth person. The Father Russell Burchell is I just have to say he’s a very hilarious guy I just couldn’t stop laughing over the things he said and hows he loves Stephen King which I myself do too and still have to see the Sixth sense. The mother Heather Burchell is quite the same as well as Russell which kind of explains why they click so well.

The Burchell’s is a loving ad hilarious and when I mean i mean have you onthe floor rolling hilarious. The family is awesome especially the talented two daughters who are Brenna and Cayla Burchell. I also love how the parents work with everything they have to make their daughters dreams come true. It was a success on what we pitched together and can’t wait to start on our project were building!! This is going to be a fun event were making, but stay tune to find out what it is.

Things may happen, but you get back up.

It all started with me waking up in the morning getting excited for smithery video opportunity. The situation was my wrist was damaged from being over used. I was kind of disappointed because of all the days it had to happen today. Thankfully I was able to find a wrist sprain since this want my first rodeo breaking it messing up my hands. I then packed my car up for the music video shoot and grabbed some food for my musicians because food and hydration is important.

Once we all arrived at the location we had to set up for the day walking up three floors with instruments and props for the video. Everyone was exhausted of course, thankfully we had a couple of hands to help us set up. I then dropped the healthy donuts on the desk and yelled," their it is!!!!" It was quite funny how quick everyone went for the food. It was nice of them to offer money for me getting the snacks, but I declined because hey everyone needs to eat right???

After we were done setting up it was time to get down to business and start directing the music video. We only had a limited time to shoot to compete with the sun through the windows. I was quite impressed by their determination and their desire to want to be on point with the music playing behind camera. I have to say though it was a bit difficult shooting with once hand and barely able to use the other hand. The footage came out phenomenal though.

Things were going really good and we were about to be finished until unfortunately their was a hiccup which made us have to choose a different location. It was no one's fault it's just things happen. As we packed up I could tell the lead singer Andrew Swauger was deeply disappointed. He kept apologising and thought he was water my time. I was trying to tell him that things just happen were all young and learning. I never let the age range away the quality that's the first thing. Maybe this was meant to happen and the next location will be way better. I still plan on using the footage I caught though because it was too good to just let go.

We then meet up at Tracy Miller's studio to discuss a plan B and decided on a new location. I'm proud to see how much they really want this though. This group shows that they want this and not let this hiccup bring them down to hard. As they say though everything happens for a reason, can't edit to shoot more footage with the band!
